SD-Bus 4.0 from Schmersal nominated for the Automation Award

The SD-Bus 4.0, an innovative safety solution from Schmersal, has been nominated for the Automation Award 2020 from German Konradin Verlag /  publishing house in the section DIGITALIZATION. Voting is now possible online until Thursday, November 26, 2020 – the publishing house will announce the winners immediately afterwards.

The Automation Award jury assesses all proposals and applications for the Automation Award every year after the application deadline. The composition with members from science and research, associations and the editorial team ensures that the submitted solutions and digitization scenarios are viewed from different perspectives and thus assessed as neutrally as possible.

Since 2019, following a proposal made by jury member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Oliver Riedel from the University of Stuttgart, the 'Special Prize for Digitization' is awarded by the jury. The aim was to award a prize to a practical application that exemplarily shows how the advantages of digitization can be used efficiently.
