New EU Commission “Blue Guide” published

The European Commission has updated its “Guidelines on the implementation of EU product regulations” or “Blue Guide” for short. The Blue Guide is an important guideline to the product safety and market monitoring laws of the European Union, which is distributed across a variety of acts, and explains how they are implemented in various EU directives.
The new “Blue Guide” is based on the English-language “Guide to the implementation of directives based on the New Approach and the Global Approach,” published in 2000, but also covers the latest statutory developments over the last ten years.
Among other things, this updated version includes completely reworked chapters on the subjects of standardisation and market monitoring, plus new chapters on accreditation and obligations of market players. The document is available to download in English from the European Commission website - click on this link.
