Schmersal apprentices among top graduates

On 16 September in the Paulus church in Wuppertal, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Wuppertal-Solingen-Remscheid awarded the 136 best graduates from the 2014/2015 training year, which saw almost 3000 examinees. Among the best are also three apprentices from Schmersal: Blazenko Simic, mechatronics engineer, Desiree Welz, warehouse logistics specialist, and Lukas Arensmann, toolmaker, achieved a “very good” grade on completion of their training and are thereby among the top graduates. “I am very proud that the effort we put into training was worth it and that good results were produced”, explained Holger Stoffel, head of training at Schmersal. To acknowledge the outstanding performance of the young trainees, the managing director, Heinz Schmersal, made his Mercedes Benz 600 Pullman from his vintage car collection available for the journey to the Paulus church.
Next year, too, Schmersal will train young people - and this training will focus on the following trades: Process mechanic for plastics and rubber technology, toolmaker for moulding technology, mechatronics engineer, technical product designer.
