Schmersal Böhnke + Partner moving into new energy-efficient building

Space for future growth

Now ready after approximately a year of construction, Schmersal Böhnke+Partner is moving into its new production and office building this week in the industrial area of Obereschbach in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. The new company quarters has 1350 m² of office space on three floors as well as a two storey production facility with a total area of 3400 m² for production and storage. The building also features training rooms and a canteen.
About 70 employees from Schmersal Böhnke+Partner will be setting up their new workplaces in Obereschbach this week. In the long-term, the number of employees there is to increase to 100 thanks to the new site's capacity for growth. “The new building covers our future growing needs for production space and provides us with the opportunity to modernise our production as well as improve the flow of material and logistics management efficiency”, explains works manager, Uwe Wiemer. “With the new build, we have placed special importance on energy efficiency. For climate control of the rooms, we use a heat pump and for heat insulation rock wool and glass foam are used.”
Several million euros were invested by Schmersal Böhnke+Partner to erect the new building, which will be opened officially in the spring of 2016. New address:
