Safety Light Curtain with Bluetooth interface from Schmersal has received Honroable Mention in the Control Engineering 2021 Engineers’ Choice Awards, in the category: Safety – Machine Safety.
The Engineers’ Choice Awards highlight some of the best new control, instrumentation, and automation products as chosen by Control Engineering’s print and online subscribers. Qualified subscribers are asked to select products based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact. The annual reader-choice program was created to provide readers of Control Engineering with information about the top new product in their fields. This is the 34th year of the ECA program.
This year we introduced a bluetooth interface to our SLC440 and SLC440COM safety light curtains, providing secure data transmission up to 5 meters. Device data is accessible by the Schmersal SLC Assist App, available for Android and iOS smartphones and tablets. The system provides real-time status of the device to aid in set-up and troubleshooting faults, and can generate documentation.
