Overhead Railway Run in Wuppertal

"We are running for 70 years of Schmersal"

July 5th, 2015 has been marked in the calendar for months for the sporty employees of the Schmersal head office in Wuppertal. They will head to the start line for this year's “Overhead Railway Run”  based on the motto of "We are running for 70 years of Schmersal". Lots of running teams from various companies in the Bergisch Land take part every in the sporting event, which is meanwhile as famous as the “Schwebebahn” (overhead railway) for Wuppertal. The race takes in a five kilometre stretch of the Wuppertal valley.  The best thing about the run is the fact that there is not just one winner, everyone who takes part wins.  The participants improve their health by taking part. Improved team spirit is another positive side effect. The Schmersal company team is taking part in the Overhead Railway Run for the fifth time and supporting the event as a sponsor again this year.
